1. About ASH Roofing

ASH Roofing is a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 15883533. We provide roofing services with over a decade of trade experience and surrounding areas.

2. Use of our website

By using our website, you agree:

  • Not to use the website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairs its availability or accessibility
  • Not to use the website in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful
  • Not to use the website to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material that consists of or is linked to spyware, computer virus, malware, or any other harmful software
  • Not to conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including scraping, data mining, data extraction or data harvesting) on or in relation to our website without our express written consent

3. Quotes and estimates

All quotes provided by ASH Roofing are subject to the following:

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Quotes are based on the information available to us at the time of inspection
  • If, during the course of the work, additional issues become apparent that could not reasonably have been identified during the initial inspection, we will stop work and discuss any additional cost with you before proceeding
  • Verbal quotes are indicative only — only written quotes are binding
  • Quotes do not include any unforeseen statutory or planning permission requirements

4. Acceptance of work

Work will be considered formally engaged once you have:

  • Confirmed acceptance of our written quote in writing (email is acceptable), or
  • Confirmed by phone with both parties' agreement, or
  • Allowed work to commence on agreed date

5. Payment terms

Our standard payment terms for domestic work are:

  • No deposits required for standard residential work
  • Payment due on completion, when the work has been finished and you are satisfied with it
  • Payment by bank transfer is preferred; cheques accepted
  • For larger jobs (typically over £5,000), staged payments may be agreed in writing in advance
  • Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998

6. Workmanship guarantee

ASH Roofing provides a written workmanship guarantee on all completed work. The guarantee period varies by job type and will be specified in your written quote.

The guarantee covers defects in our workmanship. It does not cover:

  • Damage caused by extreme weather events beyond normal seasonal patterns
  • Damage caused by third parties (e.g. other tradespeople, landlords, neighbours)
  • Pre-existing issues with the structure of the building disclosed at the time of quote
  • Materials covered by their own manufacturer's warranty (we will support you with manufacturer claims)
  • Wear and tear in line with the expected lifespan of the materials used

7. Insurance

ASH Roofing carries appropriate public liability insurance covering our work. Proof of insurance is available on request.

8. Cancellation

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, where a contract is made off-premises (e.g. at your home), you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days from the date of the agreement. To cancel, please notify us in writing.

If you have agreed to and started work within the 14-day period, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for work carried out before cancellation.

9. Access and site safety

For us to carry out the work safely and efficiently, you agree to:

  • Provide reasonable access to the property and roof at agreed times
  • Inform us of any known hazards on or around the property
  • Keep children and pets away from work areas
  • Move or protect any items that may be affected by the work where reasonably possible

10. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with any work undertaken is limited to the price paid for that work.

11. Disputes and complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue:

If we cannot reach a resolution, you may seek independent advice from Citizens Advice or pursue your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
